FAQ
Where are you based and do you travel?
We're based in Westchester supporting the tri-state area!
For weddings outside, we'll work with you on a case-by-case basis to determine the appropriate fee to cover our travel expenses.
How do you photograph weddings?
We'll be walking you step by step to help you before your wedding day. We'll send you a guide to help you organizing your day, the best moments for the couple photos, and align on expectations. On your wedding day, our main focus will be to capture feelings, the mood, the emotions, the calm and crazy moments and all the details that make your wedding unique.
How many pictures will we receive?
The number of fully edited photos delivered will be based on your package so it'll differ between portrait sessions and event photography. Galleries will be created based on quality rather than quantity so the best photos will be pre-selected.
Generally, we deliver about 75 photos per hour of coverage for events; and 30 photos per hour of coverage for portraits.
When will we get our photos?
For portrait and engagement photography, the average turnaround time is 5 days.
For event photography, the average turnaround time is 7 days.
For wedding photography, the average turnaround time is 6 weeks however a smaller gallery with highlights will be shared in 14 days.
You'll be able to download all the photos from the gallery but can also share them with your guests, friends, and family.
We have world class galleries that allow you to organize by choosing your favorites and an option to order prints!
Do you have Liability Insurance?
Cinematic Muse Photography is fully licensed and insured with a two million dollar per event policy (which we've, thankfully, never had to use so far)!
How far should we book in advance?
Typically, if you book 12-18 months in advance, there’s a very good chance we’ll be available. Please checkin with us, we're looking to hearing from you!
How much is needed as a retainer?
We require an initial 50% deposit of your wedding package with the remaining balance to be paid on the wedding day.
How do I start the process to reserve you for my wedding date?
Reach us on our contact page along with your wedding date and venue. We prefer communicating by email as we can give you more details that way. Once you are ready for next steps, we'll set-up a call to discuss. If possible, we would like to meet you both in person so you'll get a sense of your future photographers and can ask us everything you need.
Once you’ve decided to choose us as your photographers, we will send a contract for you to sign and return with a deposit.
Do you shoot video?
Unfortunately, we do not. This allows us to focus all of our attention on photography.
